David Carradine Filmography
David Carradine was a seasoned American film star known for his action films. He started his acting career in the 60s with the Broadways and made his big TV breakthrough in the early 70s with the starring role in the series ‘Kung Fu’. He appeared on the big screen for the first time in 1975 with the film ‘Death Race 2000’. Starting small, he embarked on a grand acting career that included some notable films such as ‘Kill Bill: Vol. 2’, ‘Death Race 2000’ and ‘Bound for Glory’.
Talking about his early career - the roles he did were far away from the best roles that he would be later known for. He did out and out action films such as ‘The Serpent’s Egg’, ‘The Long Riders’, ‘The Warrior and the Sorceress’, ‘Sonny Boy’ and ‘The Vampire in Retreat’. He also missed the mark sometimes, and his filmography also registered some failures in form of films such as ‘Kill Zone’, ‘Armed Response’ and ‘On the Line’.
At the turn of the century, he started gaining respect as a character actor and his most celebrated role came with Quentin Tarantino’s ‘Kill Bill: Vol. 2’, where he played the titular role of Bill. Some of the last films that he starred in before he passed away were ‘Stretched’ and ‘Night of the Templar’.
