MeganPlays was born Megan Elizabeth Leeds on March 17, 1995, in Texas, United States of America. She was raised in Texas alongside her twin sister Kaitlyn Leeds. After graduating from high school, she went on to attend the University of Texas at Arlington. A year after joining the university, Megan created her primary YouTube channel MeganPlays. In 2015, she created another channel titled Megan where she started posting vlogs. Her YouTube channel MeganPlays has more than 3.5 million subscribers.

In 2017, she graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington, majoring in design and visual communications. Prior to establishing herself as a prominent YouTuber, Megan took up different jobs and worked as a shop stylist, sales associate, and hostess.

Her TikTok account has more than three million fans and her Instagram handle has more than 420K followers.

MeganPlays started dating YouTuber Zach Letter in 2017. In May 2018, Zach proposed marriage to Megan in Granada and the couple tied the knot on May 17, 2019. She features her husband on her vlog channel Megan. She currently lives with Zach Letter in Dallas, Texas.
