An accident in which he broke his fingers made him practice with his left hand and turned him ambidextrous. The legendary keyboardist is known for his stints with the bands Yes and The Moody Blues.
Swiss drummer Jojo Mayer was no stranger to music in his childhood, being the son of bassist Vali Mayer. Introduced to the drums at age 2, he later started experimenting with jazz. His interest in electronic and experimental funk made him launch the New York-based trio Nerve.
Dubbed Mr. Acapulco, Teddy Stauffer was a Swiss musician who revolutionized Acapulco’s nightclub industry. The owner of a number of posh eateries and nightclubs, he also led the Acapulco Film Festival. Once part of the band The Teddies, he was also one of the 6 husbands of actor Hedy Lamarr.
Jazz pianist and keyboardist George Gruntz redefined the jazz scene with his Concert Jazz Band. He was also associated with the European Rhythm Machine, a group led by American saxophonist Phil Woods and had also led the JazzFest Berlin as its artistic director, too. He had toured across many countries, including China.
