Luke Mullen has been acting since the young age of four and has performed in several local theater productions. He made his professional acting debut in 2011 when he appeared in a minor role in the movie ‘Revealing Stories.’ His breakthrough came in 2017 when he was cast in the recurring role of TJ Kippen in the show ‘Andi Mack.’ The Disney Channel’s hit series, which features Peyton Elizabeth Lee, Sofia Wylie, Joshua Rush, Asher Angel, Lauren Tom and Lilan Bowden in main roles, follows a teenage girl Andi Mack and her best buddies, Buffy Driscoll and Cyrus Goodman as they attend middle school.

The series is the one of the top-rated ones on American television and the first ever Disney Channel’s series to feature a gay middle school boy as one of its lead characters. As a result, it has drawn considerable media attention and is even reported as being historic.

In 2018, Mullen wrote, directed, produced and starred in a short film titled ‘Me, My Phone, and I’. It is a movie about four high school students who get trapped inside their mobile phones and are compelled to use their creativity and technology skills to communicate face-to-face before it's too late. The film also features Kyle O'Gorman, Jazara Hutton, Ilette Hill, Jay Carlander and Hayden St. Laurent in lead roles.

In 2019, Luke Mullen made a guest appearance in an episode of ABC’s sitcom ‘American Housewife.’ The series chronicles the everyday life of Katie Otto, a mother and wife who strives to stand out among the rich, pretentious and arrogant housewives after moving to Westport, Connecticut.
