Ian Carter began his YouTube channel on 17 August 2012 but didn’t upload a video until 30 August. He began his channel uploading game plays. The first video was of him playing the holiday part of game ‘Overgrowth’. He continued to upload gaming videos and remained an average YouTuber until 2013, when he first uploaded ‘Gaming News Crap’. The video was viewed several times, earning more than a million views within a few months. Thus, Ian started creating more of these videos and titled them the ‘Kickstart crap’ series. Following this, he created a series of videos mocking irrelevant and substandard content, and named it ‘Content Cop.’ In these videos, he is dressed in a policeman’s costume and appears to be making sarcastic teases and comments at YouTubers who use controversial methods to earn subscribers and views on their channels.

His other series is titled ‘Bad Unboxing’, where he opens fan mails, which include some weird gifts and hate mails. He has over 200 videos on his main channel—several of his early game play videos have been deleted by him from his channel—making it solely dedicated to his three current series.

At an early age, Ian recognized the content people wanted and started creating a series of videos including such content. He realized that his wit and sarcasm was hilarious, and people were subscribing to his channel to get a glimpse of his opinions on various YouTubers and their videos. Hence, he prioritized those videos and began making different series with varying propagandas. Thus, the wide variety of content provided by his channel started attracting more viewers and he became a successful YouTuber.

Ian Carter was born on July 27, 1991 in Texas to an American couple. His parents split up later, marking the most troubled phase of his life. Ian has two brothers, Troy and Kevin Carter. They have featured in his earlier game videos. Not much is known about his education, but it is known that he completed high school. His surname is also debatable, as a couple of his videos have his brothers calling him ‘Kovic’ instead of ‘Carter’, pointing to the fact that he may be keeping his real identity a secret for privacy reasons.
