Panamanian hurdler Bayano Kamani is not just a 2-time Olympian but also a South American record holder in 400m hurdles. He soared to fame at Baylor University, where he was named to the Athletics Hall of Fame. He later began his coaching career with the Urban Knights track and field team.
Panamanian middle-distance runner Andrea Ferris won several gold medals at Central American Championships including four in 2010 and three in 2012; and at Central American Games including four in 2010. She also bagged a gold medal at the 2010 Ibero-American Championships. Ferris took part in the Women's 800 metres event at the 2012 Summer Olympics held in London, England, UK.
