Will Rogers was an American actor, vaudeville performer, comedian and newspaper columnist best known for his clever yet witty content on political and social issues as well as figures. His journey began as a vaudeville performer. A popular gig at New Amsterdam in 1916 got him the opportunity to perform ‘Ziegfeld Follies’ which eventually got him into films. He made his film debut in the 1918 film ‘Laughing Bill Hyde.’ He played the title role in the film. He went on to appear in around 50 silent films about 12 sound films. He became one of the highest paid actors of his time, appearing in films such as ‘Almost a Husband’ (1919),  ‘A Poor Relation’ (1921), ‘The Headless Horseman’ (1922), ‘David Harum’ (1934) and ‘Life Begins at 40’ (1935). ‘In Old Kentucky (1935) was the final film of his career. He came to be known as ‘Oklahoma's Favorite Son.’
