Wes Anderson Filmography
Wes Anderson is one of the most visually distinct and successful contemporary directors. He started making short films in the 90s and made his feature film debut with ‘Bottle Rocket,’ which was a low budget affair. Although the film fared poorly on the box office, it turned out to be a major critical success, which paved Anderson’s way in the industry. His second film was ‘Rushmore,’ which also happened to be his first collaboration with actor Bill Murray, and the success of the film opened way for a collaboration, in which Bill has appeared in all the later Wes Anderson films.
Wes Anderson touched new heights with films, such as ‘The Royal Tenenbaums,’ ‘Moonrise Kingdom,’ ‘The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou,’ and ‘The Darjeeling Limited.’ These are also some of his best films. He then ventured into animation with ‘Fantastic Mr. Fox,’ which received ‘Academic Award’ nomination for ‘Best Animated Film.’ His next project ‘The Grand Budapest Hotel,’ became an international success and earned him an ‘Academy Award’ for his direction in the film.
