American model, comedian and actress Tracee Ellis Ross is best known for her role as Joan Carol Clayton in the hit UPN/CW serial ‘Girlfriends’ (2000 – 2008), for which she won the ‘Outstanding Actress in a Comedy Series’ award at the NAACP Image Awards. Her current portrayal of Dr Rainbow Johnson in the comedy serial ‘Black-ish’ is her highest rated performance on television.
Her other popular television serials are ‘Reed between the Lines’ (2011), ‘Five’ (2011), ‘Bad Girls’ (2012) and (The Gong Show) (2017). She made her film debut in the movie ‘Far Harbour’ (1996), as a Jewish-African-American girl named Kiki.
