Chicago musicians Joe and Jerry accidentally witness a mafia murder and disguise as women to enlist into an all-female band to get out of town quickly. However, complications arise after Joe poses as a millionaire to impress the band's vocalist and ukulele player Sugar, while Jerry draws the attention of an actual millionaire who won't take refusal kindly.
