Steve Buscemi is an American actor and director who began his career with films like 'Parting Glances' (1986), 'Slaves of New York' (1988) and 'Tales from the Darkside' (1990), and established himself as one of the bad boys in the industry with roles in films such as ‘Kings of New York’ and ‘Miller's Crossing’ in 1990.
In 1992, following his first lead role in 'In the Soup', he bagged a major role in the Quentin Tarantino film, 'Reservoir Dogs', which was written by the director specifically for him and earned him an 'Independent Spirit Award'. He also had a small role in Tarantino's 1994 top grossing cult hit, 'Pulp Fiction'. Some of his prominent character roles were in successful films like 'Fargo', 'Con Air', 'Armageddon', 'Monsters, Inc.', 'Grown Ups' and 'Hotel Transylvania'. However, his best role was Seymour in 'Ghost World' (2001), which won him several awards. As a director, his filmography includes 'Trees Lounge' (1996), 'Animal Factory' (2000), 'Lonesome Jim' (2005) and 'Interview' (2007).
On television, he played the lead on HBO's 'Boardwalk Empire' and hosted the talk-show 'Park Bench with Steve Buscemi'. He also directed some episodes from 'Oz', 'The Sopranos', 'Nurse Jackie', '30 Rock' and 'Portlandia'.
