Sam Rockwell Filmography
The only child of actor parents, who parted ways when he was five years old, Rockwell made his stage debut, at the age of 10, in an ‘East Village improve comedy sketch’ that also featured his mother. Renowned for his lead roles in ‘Moon,’ ‘Confessions of a Dangerous Mind,’ ‘Lawn Dogs,’ ‘Seven Psychopaths,’ ‘The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy,’ ‘G-Force,’ and ‘Matchstick Men,’ Rockwell is one of the screen and stage’s least predictable and most imaginative performers.
He made his debut with ‘Clownhouse,’ a horror film. It was in the 1990s that his career slowly gathered momentum with film like ‘Galaxy Quest,’ ‘Charlie’s Angels,’ and ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream.’ However, his big break came with ‘Confessions of a Dangerous Mind.’ He bagged in a number of accolades including the ‘Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor’ for his performance in ‘Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri,’ where he played the role of a troubled police deputy.
