Roy Rogers was one of the most popular stars of Western era. The American singer and actor, was known as the ‘King of Cowboys.’ He rose to fame after he starred in ‘The Roy Rogers Show’ (1951-57). During his career, Roger appeared in more than 100 films, radio and TV shows. He made his film debut in 1935, and audience fell in love with his cowboy image. He had his first known leading role in the film ‘Under Western Stars’ (1938). During his stunning career, he starred in countless films such as ‘Jeepers Creepers ‘ (1939), ‘Dark Command’ (1940), ‘King of the Cowboys’ (1943), ‘Trail of Robinhood’ (1950) ‘The Muppet Show’ (1979) and ‘The Fail Guy’ (1983 and 1984). He played characters of his own name in most of his films. One can only imagine the level of his popularity. He was the top paid western actor for 16 consecutive years.
