Ray Liotta is an American actor known for portraying intense roles on screen. What is interesting to note is that even in intense roles, the audience get an impression of something smouldering within him and that his character would soon turn into an intense one. Liotta started off his acting career with a role as Joey Perrini for the soap opera ‘Another World’. Attempting to try his luck in big screen, he made his debut with the cult classic ‘The Lonely Lady’.
Liotta’s first major role came in for ‘Something Wild’. His brilliant performance not just earned him a Golden Globe nomination, but led to his future filmography that comprised of super successful films like ‘Goodfellas’, ‘Unlawful Entry’, ‘No Escape’, ‘Cop Land’, ‘Turbulence’, ‘Narc’, ‘Wild Hogs’, ‘Killing Them Softly’, and ‘Sin City: A Dame to Kill For’. His biggest hit came with the 2001 film ‘Hannibal’ that became one of the top grossing films worldwide for the year. In addition to his film roles, Liotta portrayed singer Frank Sinatra in the 1998 TV movie ‘The Rat Pack’ and later on made his Broadway debut opposite Frank Langella in the Stephen Belber play, ‘Match’.
