Michael J. Fox is a film and television actor renowned for his best role as Marty McFly in the ‘Back to the Future’ trilogy. Starting his career on television in the CBC anthology ‘The Magic Lie’ (1977), he made his film debut in ‘Midnight Madness’ (1980) and went on to play the lead protagonist in the hit sitcom ‘Family Ties’ (1982-89). Fox has since become a pop-culture icon with a list of films and TV shows that includes ‘Teen Wolf’ (1985), ‘The Secret of My Success’ (1987), ‘Casualties of War’ (1989), ‘Doc Hollywood’ (1991), the Stuart Little Films, ‘Spin City’ (1996-2000), ‘Atlantis: The Lost Empire (2001), and ‘The Good Wife’ (2010-16).
In a career deeply affected by the onslaught of Parkinson disease, Fox has seen his fair share of success and failure.
