A posting in the sleepy village of Sandford is what a London cop, Nicholas Angel, gets for his exceptional arrest record. As he tries to adjust to his new relaxed environment, a series of accidents lead him to conclude that there is more to this tranquil community than he knows. He conducts his search for the culprits and is aided by Danny, his overenthusiastic partner who is a fan of action.
