Kaley Christine Cuoco is the current reigning queen of American television due to her best role as Penny in CBS’ situational comedy ‘The Big Bang Theory’ (2007-present). She began her career in 1992 as Connie Reinhardt in the thriller film ‘Quicksand: No Escape’. Two years later, she made her television debut in the ABC’s teen drama ‘My So-called Life’.
After appearing in a series of small roles in both films and television, Cuoco played Bridget Hennessy in ‘8 Simple Rules’ (2002-05). The success of the series secured her position in the industry, and while the show ended abruptly after the untimely death of John Ritter (who played Kaley’s father), it gave Cuoco enough momentum to be cast as the female protagonist in Chuck Lorre’s next project, namely ‘The Big Bang Theory’.
