Julianne Moore is a prolific American actress, whose portrayal of emotionally troubled women in mainstream and independent films has earned her many prestigious awards, including an Oscar. Starting her career in the mid-1980s, she gained attention for her portrayal of a dual role in ‘As the World Turns’ (1985-88), for which she received a ‘Daytime Emmy’.
She debuted on the big screen with ‘Tales from the Darkside: The Movie’ (1990) and then appeared in a small role in the thriller ‘The Hand That Rocks the Cradle’ (1992).
