Joss Whedon Filmography
Joss Whedon is an American director, writer, producer and a composer. He is best known for directing the Marvel superhero epic films ‘The Avengers’ and ‘The Avengers: Age of Ultron’. Apart from his film credits, he is also known for creating some path-breaking television series’ such as ‘Buffy the Vampire Slayer’, ‘Angel’ and ‘The Agents of Shield’. Joss Whedon started his career with small writing credits for ‘The Getaway’, ‘Twister’ and ‘Toy Story’. He first gained prominence as the creator of the series ‘Buffy the Vampire Slayer’. Its success helped him cement his place in the industry and he followed the success with the spin-off, titled ‘Angel’ and later, ‘Firefly’.
All this success had him fulfil his long time dream of contributing to Marvel comic book series, and in the year 2004, he came ahead with ‘Astonishing X-Men’ for Marvel comics. He wrote and directed the 2005 film ‘Serenity’ and after getting the writing credit for some notable films such as ‘Thor’, ‘Captain America: The First Avenger’, he finally wrote and directed ‘The Avengers’, and its sequel, ‘The Avengers: Age of Ultron’ which are known to be the best Joss Whedon films.
In 2017, he co-wrote ‘Justice League’ for DC comics and is all set to direct the film ‘Batgirl’ for the company.
