John Goodman Filmography
John Goodman is a prolific American actor. He started his acting career in the 80s with small stints in TV such as ‘The Mystery of Morro Castle’ and ‘The Fit of Rage’. He remained unknown for the most part of his early career, which was until he started appearing in films in the mid 80s. His talent slowly started to get recognized and he made appearances in key roles in some big films such as ‘Cracker’, ‘Raising Arizona’ and ‘The Big Easy’. But his biggest career breakthrough happened with TV as he started appearing in ‘Roseanne’ in 1988. Along with the show becoming a mega success, John received several major honours for his acting, which included a Golden Globe Award.
After this explosive breakthrough, John Goodman ruled the 90s Hollywood and appeared in main roles in some notable films such as ‘The Flintstones’, ‘Arachnophobia’, ‘The Big Lebowski’, ‘Pie in the Sky’ and ‘The Runner’. He also received several major awards and nominations for his roles. The successful run continued at the turn of the century, and he played some of his career’s best roles in films such as ‘Beyond the Sea’, ‘Alabama Moon’, ‘The Artist’ and ‘Trouble with the Curve’.
