Focused on the eponymous niche team, Spotlight, of the newspaper, Boston Globe, this movie showcases how a team of journalists, portrayed by a talented ensemble starcast, uncovered sexual abuse of children by priests of their local Roman Catholic diocese. Their startling discovery leads to further uncovering of a widespread child molestation scandal that was systematically hidden by the Catholic Church.

A mission of Avengers results in the loss of civilian lives, hence political pressure mounts to have regulations for the superhero team. This causes the team to split into two groups – Team Captain America favouring freedom of superheroes and Team Iron Man backing the government. Meanwhile, Captain America’s old friend Bucky Barnes is accused of the murder of King T'Chaka of Wakanda.

Born with dwarfism, Finbar has grown introvert due to public reaction to his size. Having deep love for railroads, he decides to relocate when his boss leaves him a rural property with an abandoned train depot on it.  But once there, his plan to lead a quiet life is quickly dashed by his neighbors, making him realize that human interactions can also be good.

On release, John and Tommy, become career criminals and kill one of the guards. Michael and Shakes conspire to bring all the abusers to justice and free their friends.  

The movie explores America’s drug fight through four stories. The US drug czar discovers that his own daughter is an addict. The wife of a drug lord discovers her husband’s true profession and tries to protect it. A witness familiar with her husband’s activities is protected by two DEA agents. A committed cop begins to doubt his superior’s true motives in drug war.

Released from prison, Scott Lang finds it difficult to get a job and is prohibited from seeing his daughter by his ex-wife. Scientist Hank Pym lures him with a heist tip-off, and encourages him to don a special suit to become Ant-Man, gaining superhuman strength and shrinking ability. However, he must undertake a daunting heist to save the world.

A photograph of American soldiers raising the US flag on Mount Suribachi following their victory on Iwo Jima during WWII becomes a symbol of hope back home. The three surviving soldiers from the photo are sent on a tour to raise money by selling war-bonds, but struggle with the limelight, post-war trauma, and misrepresentation of facts by the government.
