Georgia’s Big Enos challenges Bandit to drive a truckload of Coors Beer from Texas and deliver within 28 hours in Atlanta where Coors was not available without permit. But when Bandit picks up hitchhiker Carrie, the runaway bride of Sheriff’s son, sheriff Buford T. Justice gives Bandit a high-speed chase across the states, with police from four states pursuing the careering cars.

With an aim to apprehend criminals, three Miami cops set up a fencing operation and try to record the details from the burglars as they bring in the stolen stuff. As their superiors don’t support their idea, the cops try to run their business by re-selling the stolen goods. Before long, the local kingpin finds out and sends his goons after them.
