Jason Clarke made his television debut in the police drama series ‘Blue Heelers’ in 1995. He remained a part of the show till 1999. He was next seen in television series and shows, such as ‘Mercury’ (1996), ‘Diagnosis: Murder’ (1996), and ‘Knots Landing: Back to the Cul-de-Sac’ (1997).
Jason made his film debut in the 1997 film ‘Dilemma.’ He then went on to appear in films like ‘Twilight’ (1998), ‘Kick’ (1999), ‘Our Lips Are Sealed’ (2000), ‘Rabbit-Proof Fence’ (2002), and ‘You Can't Stop the Murders’ (2003). Anderson-directed action thriller film ‘Death Race.’ The film received mixed reviews from the critics and was a moderate success at the box office. The following year, he was seen in the biographical crime drama film ‘Public Enemies’ where he played the role of ‘John "Red" Hamilton.’
In 2011, Jason Clarke starred as ‘Jarek Wysocki’ in the political crime drama series ‘The Chicago Code.’ The series received positive reviews from critics. In the 2012 Mark Boal-directed thriller film ‘Zero Dark Thirty,’ Jason played the role of ‘Dan Fulle.’ He received wide praise for his performance and even earned nominations for ‘Chicago Film Critics Association award and ‘Village Voice Film Poll’ award.
After the immense success of ‘Zero Dark Thirty,’ Jason starred several in successful hits, such as ‘White House Down’ (2013), ‘Dawn of the Planet of the Apes’ (2014), ‘Terminator Genisys’ (2015), ‘Everest’ (2015), and ‘Mudbound’ (2018) for which he won the ‘Gotham Award’ for Ensemble Performance and ‘Independent Spirit Award’ for Best Ensemble.
