James Brolin Filmography
James Brolin is an American actor, producer, and director who started his career with guest appearances on several television shows like 'Batman', 'The Virginian', and 'Owen Marshall: Counselor at Law', and earned recognition for his third film, 'Von Ryan's Express' (1965).
However, the spy film ‘The Cape Town Affair’ (1967), which saw him in a big role for the first time, proved to be one of his worst films. The following year, he was cast as Dr. Steven Kiley in the medical drama series ‘Marcus Welby, MD’, one of his best roles that earned him a 'Golden Globe' and an 'Emmy'. He established himself as a lead actor with successful films such as 'Skyjacked' (1972), 'Westworld' (1973), 'Gable and Lombard' (1976), 'Capricorn One' (1978), 'The Amityville Horror' (1979), 'Night of the Juggler' (1980), and 'High Risk' (1981).
Among his numerous television appearances, most notable are 'Hotel' (1983-88) and 'Pensacola: Wings of Gold' (1997-2000), which saw him as main cast for years. His best film role came much later in the 'Academy Award'-winning drama 'Traffic' (2000). His other recent works include 'Catch Me If You Can' (2002), ‘The Alibi’ (2006), ‘The Hunting Party’ (2007), and ‘Lost City Raiders’ (2008).
