This historical drama film takes us to the civil war in Cambodia. It revolves around a journalist, who is trapped during tyrant Pol Pot’s cleansing campaign, which took the lives of two million ‘undesired’ civilians. 

Unexpected and supernatural incidents start happening to the Freeling family in their house at Cuesta Verde, when ghosts start communicating with them through the TV set. Things take a turn for worse when the initially friendly spirits turn malevolent and kidnap the youngest daughter Carol. The Freelings must find a way to bring her back.
