The life of people in an otherwise peaceful Californian town goes awry when a masked killer goes around claiming victims. Sidney Prescott, a high school student whose mother was murdered just a year before, becomes the next target but escapes. A reporter and the town’s deputy sheriff investigate the case to figure out the real killer who appears obsessed with horror films trivia.
