Andy Samberg made his screen debut in the television comedy series The 'Bu in 2003. He played the role of ‘Aaron’ and remained on the show until 2004. In 2005, he joined the cast of the American late-night live television sketch comedy and variety show ‘Saturday Night Live’ created by Lorne Michaels. He starred in 139 episodes and parted ways from the show in 2012. He made his big-screen debut in the 2007 American comedy film ‘Hot Rod’ directed by Akiva Schaffer. The film opened to a mixed reception and failed to perform at the box office. He next starred in films such as ‘Space Chimps’ (2008), ‘Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist’ (2008), ‘I Love You, Man’ (2009), ‘Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs’ (2009), ‘Friends with Benefits’ (2011), ‘What's Your Number?’ (2011), ‘Celeste and Jesse Forever’ (2012), and ‘That's My Boy’ (2012). In 2012, he voiced ‘Jonathan Loughran’ in the American computer-animated monster comedy film ‘Hotel Transylvania’ directed by Genndy Tartakovsky. Even though the film received a mixed response from critics, it turned out to be a major commercial success and grossed over $358.4 million on a budget of $85 million. In 2013, he starred as ‘Jake Peralta’ in the American police procedural comedy television series ‘Brooklyn Nine-Nine.’ The series aired 153 episodes in a span of 8 seasons before going off-air in 2021. Samberg also won the ‘Golden Globe Award,’ ‘American Comedy Award,’ and ‘Poppy Award,’ for his performance in the show.
