Andy Lau Tak-wah, better known as Andy Lau, in the entertainment industry is a Hong Kong singer, actor and producer who entered the Guinness Book of World Records for the Most Awarded Cantopop Male Artist. He is best known for his role in the movie ‘Saving Mr. Wu’ (2015). His other highly rated performances include his role as Tide in ‘Days of Being Wild’ (1990), Lau Kin Ming in ‘Internal Affairs’ (2002), Leo in ‘House of Flying Daggers’ (2004) and Roger in ‘A Simple Life’ (2012). His movies ‘What Woman Want’ (2011) and ‘The Beginning of a Great Revival’ (2011) both turned out to be box office disasters in the same year.
Lau established his own production company called Teamwork Motion Pictures which was later renamed Focus Group Holdings Limited. His award winning films include ‘Made in Hong Kong’ (1998), ‘Running out of Time’ (2000), ‘A Fighter’s Blues’ (2001) and ‘Lost and Love’ (2015).
