American actress and singer Alexa Vega of the Spy Kids fame made her debut in acting as child artist in the American television sitcom ‘Evening Shade’ (1993-94). Thereafter she guest-starred in several TV and film productions before landing up with her breakthrough role of Carmen Cortez in the blockbuster film ‘Spy Kids’ (2001) that garnered her worldwide fame. Moving on she reprised the role in other films of Spy Kids series and performed in other notable films like ‘Repo! The Genetic Opera’ (2008) and TV series like ‘Ruby & the Rockits’ (2009).
