Rick Astley went from being a high-school drop-out and a driver, to becoming a music sensation. He turned into a global phenomenon with his 1987 track Never Gonna Give You Up, which topped charts in 25 countries. Years later, in 2007, the video was part of the viral meme “rickrolling.”

George Ezra is an English guitarist, singer, and songwriter. He achieved popularity after releasing his debut album Wanted on Voyage, which peaked at number one in the UK. It was also one of the best-selling albums in the UK in the year 2014. In 2019, George Ezra was honored with the Brit Award under the British Male Solo Artist category.

The Englishman, whose music genres range from pop to neo soul came to prominence with his performance in The X Factor. The Manchester United fan is also a television presenter and voice actor.

James Arthur is an English singer-songwriter who achieved popularity after winning the popular British reality TV music competition The X Factor in 2012. Apart from debuting at the top position on the UK Singles Chart, his debut single also went on to sell more than 2.5 million copies, making it the most successful single in the history of the show.

Regarded as one of the greatest artists of all time, Elvis Costello is a British singer-songwriter. Often counted among British cultural icons, Costello is also known for his humanitarian efforts; a prominent member of the Jazz Foundation of America, Costello has played a crucial role in saving the lives of many elderly blues and jazz musicians in America.

Man of Peace recipient and six-time Grammy-winner Peter Gabriel was the lead singer of Genesis but switched to a solo career in 1977. Billy Ocean is a recording artist who achieved popularity in the 1980s when he became the most famous Trinidad–British R&B singer. Over the years, he has also been one of the most prominent supporters of the Rastafari movement. In the 2020 New Year Honours, Billy Ocean was appointed MBE for services to music.

Lebanese-born British singer Michael Holbrook Penniman Jr., also known as Mika, had moved to France as an infant and to Britain later, as his family escaped the war-torn Lebanon. Known for tracks such as Grace Kelly, he also earned a Grammy nomination for his single Love Today.

Roland Orzabal is an English musician, singer-songwriter, and record producer. He co-founded the pop-rock band Tears for Fears, of which he is the main songwriter and joint vocalist. He began performing in his teens and has played with many bands. He also performs as a solo artist. He has received the  Ivor Novello Award twice as a songwriter. 

Tony Hadley is a British singer-songwriter and radio presenter. He is best known for his association with the New Romantic band Spandau Ballet where he was the lead singer. Tony Hadley is also well-known for his humanitarian efforts; he is a patron of many charitable organizations like Shooting Star Chase, The Huntington's Disease Association (HDA), and The Lowe Syndrome Trust.

Seal is a British singer and songwriter. He has received several prestigious awards over the course of his career. Also known for his charity work, Seal has performed at several charity events in an attempt to help non-profit organizations, such as the Make It Right Foundation.

British musician, singer-songwriter, and actor, Olly Alexander, is the lead singer of the synth-pop trio Years & Years. As a child, he developed a love for singing and took part in school plays. He studied performing arts at the Hereford College of Arts before beginning his career. He is homosexual and an outspoken LGBTQIA+ advocate.

He achieved popularity in 2015, when he released his fourth studio album, Written in Scars, which peaked at number seven on the UK Albums Chart. In 2019, Jack Savoretti released his sixth album Singing to Strangers, which became his first album to peak at number one on the UK Albums Chart.

Chris de Burgh is an Irish singer-songwriter who soared to fame with his chartbusting singles Don't Pay the Ferryman and The Lady in Red. Surprisingly, he has been more popular in countries such as Norway and Brazil than in the UK. He is also the father of Miss World 2003 Rosanna Davison.

The son of legendary English drummer and singer Phil Collins, Simon Collins is now an established drummer and singer and has also been the lead vocalist of the British progressive rock band Sound of Contact. He is known for his albums such as U-Catastrophe and Time for Truth.

Lonnie Donegan was a British musician and singer-songwriter. He is remembered for his contribution to a genre of folk music called Skiffle which earned him the nickname King of Skiffle. Donegan is credited with influencing British rock and pop musicians of the 1960s. Thanks to his influence on American music, Donegan is considered an important figure in the British invasion.
