Tyler Garcia Posey is a well-known American actor who appears in both movies and television. He is best known for his work in the MTV television series, ‘Teen Wolf’, which started airing from 2011. The series is about a young boy Scott (played by Tyler) who gets bitten by a werewolf. He then has to cope with his new life and take precautions not to cause harm to his friends and family. He has co-starred with the popular ‘Twilight’ star Booboo Stewart as well, in the film ‘White Frog’, a 2012 American film based on family, friendship, and love. The film is about a teen who feels neglected but then encounters a tragedy which changes his life. He is also known for his role as Jennifer Lopez's son in the romantic comedy, ‘Maid in Manhattan’, which revolves around a renowned politician and a hotel maid who fall in love. One of his recent films was ‘Yoga Hosers’, released in 2016, which has elements of both horror as well as humor. Posey is also a skilled musician, and he plays guitar in the band, ‘Disappearing Jamie.’

Tyler Posey was born on October 18, 1991 in Santa Monica, California, in the United States. His father is the famous American actor and writer John Posey and his mother was Cyndi Teresa Garcia.
He grew up in his hometown Santa Monica along with his two brothers. He attended Hart High School and used to play the piano during his school days.

Career
Tyler Posey began working in both television and movies in the early 2000s. He first appeared in the American action film ‘Collateral Damage’ (2002), where he played a minor role. Later that year he appeared in ‘Maid in Manhattan’ a romantic comedy, where he played the son of the female lead, played by Jennifer Lopez.
He also started appearing in a small role in the American TV series ‘Doc’ around this time. He played the role of Raul Garcia, an eight-year-old orphan boy who sleeps in the basement of a church with his mother before she falls ill and dies. Later he is adopted by an officer of the New York Police Department.
Later Tyler also did minor roles in episodes of other television series such as ‘Sue Thomas: FB eye’, ‘Into the West’, ‘Smallville’ and ‘Brothers and Sisters.’ He also appeared in the fantasy film ‘Veritas: Prince of Truth’, released in 2007, where he played an important role.
In 2009, he appeared in several episodes of ‘Lincoln Heights’, an American family drama TV series. The story was about Eddie Sutton, a police officer who decides to move his family back to his old neighborhood and start a new life.
In 2010, he did a small role in the American movie ‘Legendary’ which was about an aspiring wrestler.
From 2011, Tyler Posey started appearing in the popular TV series ‘Teen Wolf’, playing the role of a teenager Scott, for which he is best known. The series, which premiered on June 5, 2011, has received positive reviews and is quite popular, especially among the youths.
He appeared in ‘White Frog’, a 2012 American comedy, where he was seen with Booboo Stewart, the well-known actor famous for his role in the ‘Twilight’ saga. The film’s premiere took place at the San Francisco International Asian American Film Festival.

Though she is only a maid, her colleagues believe that she is capable of working in management.

However, the story ends happily with both of them getting reunited and beginning a new life together. The film was a huge hit, reaching number one in the box office in its opening weekend. ‘Teen Wolf’ is the most significant work in Tyler Posey’s career so far as it is because of this TV series that he has gained immense popularity worldwide. It is an American TV series, which is based on a movie of the same name, released in 1985. The story revolves around Scott McCall, a high school student who lives in the town of Beacon Hills, California.
It is after he is turned into a werewolf, that he starts uncovering the supernatural forces in his town. The story revolves around the adventures of two fifteen-year-old girls who learn yoga from their guru Yogi Bayer. The movie premiered on 24 January, at the 2016 Sundance Film Festival.

Personal Life & Legacy
Tyler Posey was once engaged to Seana Gorlick, with whom he had a friendship since childhood. However, in October 2014 their engagement was called off, though the exact reason is not known.
In 2016, he started a relationship with the well-known young American actress Bella Thorne.
Posey lost his mother in December 2014 when she passed away due to breast cancer. He dedicated the fifth season of ‘Teen Wolf’ to her memory.
