Troian Bellisario Biography

Troian Bellisario was born on October 28, 1985 in Los Angeles, U.S. Her parents are producers Deborah Pratt and Donald P. Bellisario. Her step-mother is Vivienne Bellisario. She has a younger brother, two half-brothers and three half-sisters, out of which some are popular actors and actresses. She studied at Campbell Hall School and later on, attended the University of Southern California. She got her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in the year 2009.

Troian Bellisario made her acting debut at the age of three in the 1988 movie ‘Last Rites’. She then appeared in an episode of the TV series ‘Quantum Leap’ and in two episodes of the series ‘Tequila and Bonetti’ in 1990, and 1992, respectively. Six years later, in 1998, she co-starred with Ashley and Mary-Kate Olsen in the flick ‘Billboard Dad’. From 2006 to 2016, Bellisario appeared in a number of short films such as ‘Unspoken’, ‘Intersect’, ‘The Come Up’, ‘Archer House’, ‘Immediately Afterlife’ and ‘Amy’, to name a few.

In November 2009, she was cast as Spencer Hastings in the ABC’s TV show ‘Pretty Little Liars’. This show was based on a book series of the same name. She also appeared as Amanda in the 2010 flick ‘Consent’. From 2012 to 2013, Bellisario appeared in the web series titled ‘Lauren’. In this, she played the lead character of ‘Sergeant Lauren Weil’.

In 2014, Bellisario appeared in the web series ‘Pa-gents with Chris’. The same year, she did two episodes of the TV show ‘Suits’. The following year, in 2015, the actress was cast in a leading role in the movie ‘Martyrs’. She also portrayed herself in the web series ‘Instagram Intervention with Troian Bellisario’ the same year. After that, Bellisario did the television film ‘Sister Cities’. She also starred in ‘Feed’ and ‘Clara.'

In 2010, Troian Bellisario won the Vison Fest ‘Best Acting (Female Lead)’ award for her performance in ‘Consent’. The same flick also earned her the ‘FirstGlance Philadelphia’ award for the ‘Best Actress’. The following year, the actress won the ‘Young Hollywood Award’ in the category ‘Cast to Watch’. This award was shared with her co-stars Ashley Benson, Shay Mitchell, and Lucy Hale as well.

In 2012, Bellisario won the ‘Teen Choice Award’ in the category ‘Choice Summer TV Star: Female’ for her work in ‘Pretty Little Liars.’ She won the ‘Best Performance by an Actress’ at the New York Festivals in 2013 for her web series ‘Lauren’. The same year, the star again won the ‘Teen Choice Award’ for ‘Choice TV Actress: Drama’ for ‘Pretty Little Liars.’

Coming to her love life, Troian Bellisario began dating ‘Suits’ actor Patrick J. Adams in the year 2009. The couple broke up for a short period of time and then reconciled in 2010. Bellisario and Adams got engaged in Paris, France under the Eiffel Tower. They got married in 2016, in Santa Barbara, California.

Troian Bellisario and Adams welcomed their first child, Aurora in 2018. In May 2021, they welcomed their second daughter, Elliot.
