Norman Reedus Biography

After beginning his career as a model, Norman Reedus made his debut on the big screen in 1997 with the film ‘Mimic.’ He then appeared in films, such as ‘Six Ways to Sunday,’ ‘Reach the Rock,’ ‘Dark Harbor,’ and ‘Davis Is Dead.’ In 1999, he portrayed prominent roles in films like ‘8MM’ and ‘The Boondock Saints.’ Three years later, the American actor was cast in three movies, namely ‘Luster,’ ‘Blade II,’ and ‘Deuces Wild.’ He then portrayed the character of ‘Polizist Schmitz’ in the 2005 film ‘Antibodies.’ After this movie, Reedus starred in several big screen projects, including ‘American Gangster,’ ‘Moscow Chill,’ ‘Hero Wanted,’ ‘The Notorious Bettie Page,’ ‘A Crime,’ ‘Killer Queen,’ ‘Cadillac Records,’ ‘Styrofoam Soul,’ ‘The Chase,’ ‘Messengers 2: The Scarecrow,’ and ‘The Conspirator.’ In 2011, he appeared in the movie ‘Hello Herman.’ Four years later, he played important roles in films like ‘Vacation,’ ‘Air,’ and ‘Sky.’ In 2016, he appeared in an action crime thriller film titled ‘Triple 9’ in which he played ‘Russel Welch.’ In 2018, he was seen playing ‘Max’ in a short film titled ‘The Limit.’

Norman Reedus first appeared on television in 2003 in the series ‘Charmed.’ After this, he appeared in another show titled ‘13 Graves.’ In 2010, the actor started playing the role of ‘Daryl Dixon’ on AMC’s TV series ‘The Walking Dead.’ This series fetched him numerous awards, such as ‘Satellite Award’ for ‘Best Television Ensemble,’ ‘IGN Award’ for ‘Best TV Hero,’ ‘IGN People's Choice Award’ for ‘Best TV Hero,’ and ‘Fangoria Chainsaw Award’ for ‘Best TV Supporting Actor.’ In 2016, Reedus started hosting a reality TV show titled ‘Ride with Norman Reedus.’ Apart from appearing in TV shows, he has also voiced characters in video games.

Reedus is also a sculptor, painter, and photographer. He displays his artwork at galleries in New York City, Frankfurt, and Berlin. The multi-talented star released a book on photography titled ‘The Sun's Coming Up... Like A Big Bald Head’ in 2013.

Norman Reedus was born Norman Mark Reedus on January 6, 1969, in Hollywood, Florida, USA, to Ira Norman Reedus and Marianne. In 1998, Reedus started dating model Helena Christensen. They were blessed with a son named Mingus Lucien Reedus, although they didn’t marry each other. In 2003, Reedus and Helena broke up. Today, they share the custody of their son and maintain friendly relations. Reedus met Diane Kruger in 2015 while filming ‘Sky.’ They were first spotted together in 2016. Kruger gave birth to their baby girl in November 2018.
