Career

Michael Polansky is a highly educated man and a successful investor and entrepreneur. Shortly after graduating from Harvard in 2006, he joined Bridgewater Associates as an investment associate. He worked with the investment management firm for a little over three years. In March 2010, Polansky joined Founders Fund where he worked alongside Parker and Peter Thiel, and in June the same year, he became a board member of wishbone.org. At Founders Fund, he focused on issues such as emerging technology and consumer internet.

He has been associated with the Parker Group for over a decade now. As a close acquaintance of Sean Parker, former president of Facebook, Polansky has been involved in a multitude of projects with the Parker Group.

Michael Polansky co-founded the bipartisan public policy organization Economic Innovation Group (EIG) in 2013. EIG is credited with proposing the idea of “Opportunity Zones.”

He co-founded the Parker Foundation with Sean Parker in 2015. The foundation is a $600 million private philanthropic organization dedicated to bring about massive positive changes in three major areas: global public health, life sciences, and civic engagement. It adopts an interdisciplinary approach to find solutions to large-scale challenges.

Along with Sean Parker, Michael Polansky co-founded the Parker Institute for Cancer Immunotherapy in 2016. The institute features collaboration between hundreds of the nation’s leading immunologists at six renowned cancer centers: Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center; University of California, Los Angeles; Stanford University; University of Pennsylvania; University of California, San Francisco; and University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. The mission of the institute is to find ways of harnessing the power of the immune system to enable it to fight cancer successfully.

In addition, Polansky serves on the board of several technology companies and major non-profit organizations.

Michael Polansky first garnered attention when he and Lady Gaga, a popular singer, songwriter, and actress, were seen kissing on the balcony of her rented mansion in Miami a few days before her much-awaited pre-Super Bowl 2020 concert.
