Marnie grew up in a town near Newcastle and moved to the city when she finished school. She participated in beauty pageants and won the title of Miss Newcastle in 2012.

She worked as a waitress for some time and was the face of the health supplement brand, Forza, before joining the reality show in 2013, in its 7th season. She replaced her cousin, Sophie Kasaei, in the show and came off as this wild yet caring young woman who at times can be quite catty if she is feeling particularly vindictive towards someone. Yet she has always been quite loyal to those who she loves. This eccentricity in her character has made her the sweetheart of the audiences. She is an integral part of the show ever since she joined till recently in its 14th season.

Among her other appearances in television are the ‘Celebrity Big Brother show’ in its 18th series which she finished in the 4th place. She has also been spotted in several television award shows including the National Television Awards or NTAs where she sparked quite the stir by appearing in a sheer black lace dress that left nothing to imagination.

Apart from her reality television appearances, Marnie has also done quite a bit of product endorsements. In 2015, she took a brief time off from Geordie Shore to work and tour as the face of lingerie brand, Love Honey. She has also endorsed a stylish clothing line called Forever Modo as well as teeth whitening product Diamond Whites.

She has also been featured in a premiere magazine, Heat, as the cover story.

Marnie’s lifestyle in the show has brought her to the scrutiny of the public eye and her hook-ups with costars onscreen have been the talk of the town. Yet when it came to confirmation, the tele star announced in 2015, that she was in a relationship with fellow reality TV star, Ricky Rayment, of the ‘The Only Way Is Essex’ fame. The couple came out to social media with exchanging lovey dovey messages online. Marnie confirmed that she and Ricky are engaged in 2015. The engagement did not last long and the couple separated later in 2015. Marnie spoke to the media about the reason behind the breakup and stated that Ricky did not respect her.

Her next very public affair happened with Geordie Shore cast member, Aaron Chalmers, and the show drew huge viewership with their explicit PDA scenes. However, lifestyle in the show and frequent random hookups between cast members incited trust issues between the couple and they went their separate ways amicably.

Her next relationship proved to be extremely murky. She got into a relationship with Celebrity Big Brother Housemate, Lewis Bloor, of the ‘The Only Way is Essex’ fame. The couple was seen to be taking showers together and their intimate time was hinted on heavily. Post Big Brother, the couple experienced a very explosive breakup when it came up that Aaron cheated on Marnie several times. They tried to work things out, but finally said goodbye in late 2016.

In October 2019, she and Casey Johnson welcomed a son named Rox. The couple later parted ways. In August 2020, Instagram post she announced her engagement.
