Luis Mercado is a multi-talented individual known for his work as both an actor and a YouTube personality. He gained recognition as the host of the popular hidden camera web series, To Catch a Cheater, which has amassed over 3.1 million subscribers on YouTube. In his acting career, Mercado's talent was evident from the beginning, as he landed his first professional gig in a national commercial for Amtrak. Subsequently, he made his mark in the television industry by securing a role on the show Major Crimes. Mercado's diverse skill set also includes stand-up comedy, a passion he cultivated from a young age, as he started performing at the age of 8. While he engaged in theater during his middle and high school years, Mercado's initial focus was on martial arts, a discipline he pursued with dedication. Graduating from high school a year ahead of schedule, he further honed his skills in wrestling at Palomar College, where he served as the team captain and played a pivotal role in leading them to a California State Championship title. Mercado's upbringing was supported by his parents, Teresa and Francisco Mercado, and he spent six years working for his father's construction company before delving deeper into his artistic pursuits. Additionally, he trained under the guidance of Sean Patrick Flanery at Hollywood Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, further showcasing his commitment to mastering various disciplines.
