Lily Jane Collins was born on March 18, 1989, in Guildford, Surrey, England. Her father, Phil Collins, is an English musician and her mother, Jill Tavelman, is the ex-president of ‘Beverly Hills Women's Club.’ Before marrying Jill Tavelman, who is an American, Phil Collins was married to Andrea Bertorelli from 1975 to 1980.

Lily Collins is of Russian Jewish, English, and German descent.

She was first seen in the ‘BBC series’ ‘Growing Pains’ when she was two years old.

In 1996, at the age of seven, she moved to Los Angeles when her parents went their separate ways.

Collins studied at the ‘Harvard-Westlake School.’ After graduating, she attended the ‘University of Southern California’ and did her major in broadcast journalism.
