What Makes FaZe Censor So Special

Despite his success during the ‘Call of Duty: Black Ops’ season, FaZe Censor found it difficult to get into a team for Call of Duty: Black Ops 2. He moved from one team to another and played for "Team EnVyUs", "Thrust Nation" and "Quantic LeveraGe". However, he bounced back during the next season, and played successfully in a number of tournaments as part of the team "Strictly Business", finishing the Call of Duty Championship in the 4th place. He was then invited into "FaZe Black" team, which he eventually went on to lead. The team showed high potential in the next few tournaments. However, in 2015, after a few disappointing performances, the team disbanded over certain disagreements, which put FaZe Censor out of professional gaming. Nevertheless, he assured his fans that he is not done yet, and would return to professional competitions again. He took some time off competitive gaming and focused on fitness training, which became his new passion. He split his time between working out at the gym and developing his own brand through his personal YouTube channel, which he created back in 2011. He often posts "how to" videos to guide his fans to a healthy lifestyle and inspires them to live up to their full potential.

Beyond Fame

While FaZe Censor is famed for his gaming skills, he is also well-known as a good-hearted person. Naturally, when a kid approached his father stating that he is suffering from cancer and has only three months to live, FaZe felt bad for the kid and made a video urging his fans to pray for him. However, he soon realized that even though the kid was ill, it was not as severe as they were meant to believe, and it caused a controversy which made him feel exploited. He deleted the video and later made another video with his father explaining the incident to his fans. He also mentioned that he needed to be careful with his generosity. However, he continues to raise awareness towards various health issues and made a three-part collaborative series with thirteen year old YouTuber Mathew Rhyze, who was born with "frontonasal dysplasia".

Behind The Curtains

FaZe Censor was born Douglas Taylor Martin on August 21, 1994, in Long Island, New York. He had to change school at the age of thirteen when he moved in with his grandmother after his grandfather died. He has an older sister. FaZe Censor was in a relationship with model Yanet Garcia. He fell in love with her after watching her in a YouTube video.
