The Birth of an Uncelebrated Boy of a Celebrated Father

Christopher was born on April 8, 1992 as the first biological child of Billy Ray Cyrus through the latter’s brief relationship with Kristin Luckey, a waitress in a South Carolina restaurant. His parents dated from June to August 1991. When Christopher was born, Billy Ray was having a relationship with his future wife Tish and planning to have a baby. A few months later on November 23, 1992, Miley was born to Billy Ray and Tish.

Life So Far

Although he is a member of the celebrated Cyrus family, none of his siblings are completely related to him. Miley, Braison and Noah are his three half-siblings from his father’s side, Brandi and Trace both older to him are his step-siblings from Tish’s side. He attended ‘Myrtle Beach Intermediate School’ and ‘Forrestbrook Middle High School’ in South Carolina and then Law School at the University of Texas. While all his Cyrus half-siblings are into the glamour and entertainment world - Brandi an actress; Trace a musician; Miley, an actress and musician; Braison, a model and Noah, an actress - Christopher works in an Electronic Store. While Miley’s net worth is estimated at around $200 million, Christopher works in the electronic store.

The buzz that he is not much in contact with the Cyrus family and that he does not get a share of the wealth has been doing rounds for years. He himself acknowledges the fact and says, “That kind of sucked”, while recalling the event of not being included in a reality show with the family. Regardless of such treatment that life has showered on him, he always speaks well about Miley and brightens up while recalling the times in his childhood that he spent with his half-siblings in the mansion of Billy Ray.

Speaking of Miley, whom he has probably met around five times, he said "She doesn't play the superstar in private. She's a normal teenager having fun and she can laugh at herself. She's the same now as she was before all this fame. She's still my goofy sister. Miley is not a self-obsessed person at all." He says that he is proud of her work and achievements and his take on his meeting with her in November 2007 in Fort Worth, Texas was "While she was on stage I was watching her from the sidelines. Afterwards, we spent 20 minutes in her bus. Her voice is fantastic and I'm very proud of my sister."

He is also quite candid about the string of text messages he exchanged with his father during a Christmas. While he wished “Merry Christmas” to Billy Ray on Christmas Day, he received a reply from the latter on January 4 that said “Hey bud, where you been? You disappeared on us”, to which he replied “I disappeared? You disappeared. I tried to get a hold of you.''

His mother who has always tried to keep him happy while speaking on her son’s generous and positive attitude on the whole matter said "Chris reaches out to have a relationship but it's been months since they engaged. Chris is a great kid and he handles it very, very well. He tried to keep a lot inside but I know when he's hurting and really getting to him." Let’s hope that he remains happy and moves on well in his life with all his near and dear ones.
