Aliaksandra Herasimenia is a Belarusian retired swimmer best known for winning two silver medals at the 2012 Olympic Games in London. At the 2016 Olympics, she won a bronze medal in the 50 metre freestyle event. Aliaksandra Herasimenia has also won gold medals at World Championships and European Championships.
Belarusian swimmer Ilya Shymanovich currently holds world-record in short course 100 metre breaststroke and earlier held world-record in short course 50 metre breaststroke. His feats so far include winning a gold in 100 metre breaststroke at 2021 World Short Course Championships; and one gold medal each in 50 metre breaststroke and 200 metre breaststroke at 2021 European Short Course Championships.
Belarusian swimmer Anastasiya Shkurdai has represented her nation in several swimming championships and events. Her achievements so far include winning a silver medal and a bronze medal at the 2018 Summer Youth Olympics; a gold (2019) and a silver (2021) medal at the European Short Course Swimming Championships; and two silver medals at the 2019 FINA World Junior Swimming Championships.
Belarusian synchronized swimmer and Olympian Vasilina Khandoshka won a bronze at the 2020 European Aquatics Championships. She also marked Belarus’s best-ever finish at the Olympics by ranking 11th in duet at 2020 Tokyo Olympics. She has also participated in the 2017 and 2019 World Aquatics Championships.
